The beach is fabulous. The views are great, (the sea is wet) and this is just about the best place in the world to be for lunch.
This beach bar is the only place within a twenty minute walk where you can even get a drink, but it still makes every effort to provide good quality, a great range and excellent value for money. (Possibly to ensure that no one is tempted to open up any competing business.) The food is reasonably simple, with a wide range of fish and daily specials.
The sheer number of tables and punters waiting to eat, or drink, can make ordering a little slower than normal, especially at lunchtime. But why rush, if you are that eager to get back to the bushes, take sandwiches with you.
A 'fresh juice' bar will also serve to the tables, and they are superb.
Chiringay also provides showers, sun beds, parasols, and has a collection of sun lotions for sale.
Once again, as seems to be the norm over Ibiza, even though the dunes and bushes are packed with queens having a good shag, (the reason many visit the beach in the first place), you may find it difficult to find any available condoms.
Chiringay is a great place to sit with a group of six or more friends taking your time, sharing a bottle of wine. But please don't do it over the lunch time rush. People are starving out there and there is nowhere else to go!
