Day 1 - Los Angeles, California
It's an exciting semitropical city of palm trees, swimming pools, television studios and aerospace factories. Los Angeles is one of the world's most exciting cities and the movie-making capital of the world. Wherever you visit, from ritzy Beverly Hills to the wondrous Hollywood Bowl, you'll have an unforgettable stay.
Check out the scene at Venice Beach. Spot a celebrity or two on Rodeo Drive. Take a walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Explore the La Brea Tar Pits or Getty Centre.
Day 3 - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
You'll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage in southeastern Alaska. This complex labyrinth of fjords, bays, and lush green islands is home to an abundance of wildlife, including orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and much more. During the summer months, the long hours of daylight allow for ample opportunities for nature photos on your Inside Passage Cruise.
Day 6 - Huatulco, Mexico
This is indeed a place where recreation and ecology are in perfect harmony. At the foot of the Sierra del Sur Mountains, Huatulco is actually made up of nine distinct bays. The turquoise waters are home to an abundance of sea life and provide a delightful aquatic playground for visitors. On land, shopping and dining establishments are outnumbered only by the number of beaches in the area: thirty to be exact.
Day 8 - Puntarenas, Costa Rica
The world knows Costa Rica for its ecological biodiversity and national parks, and Puntarenas welcomes you to many of these treasures—Pacific beaches, renowned surfing, rainforests, and wildlife. Ride horseback through secluded tropical forests or along the wide open beach. Head down the coast to Playa Jaco, which draws surfers from around the world for international competitions. Plunge below the surface to discover reefs teeming with marine life. Spot monkeys, crocodiles, scarlet macaws, and other birds by cruising through the mangroves or up the Tárcoles River.
Day 10 - Manta, Ecuador
The breezy, seaside city of Manta is the second largest port in Ecuador and possesses one of the world's most varied terrains. To the west of Manta lie the Galapagos Islands. To the east rises the great rampart of the Andes. The Mantas were known for their traditional balsa rafts in the coastal waters and their ceramics and pottery. A huge tuna statue greets you on its shores, a whimsical nod to the tuna capital of the world.
Days 12 & 13 - Lima (Callao), Peru
Located on the west coast of Peru, facing the turquoise blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, the port city of Callao is your gateway to capital city of Lima. The short half-hour drive to the heart of the capital city is a photographer’s dream. Lima comes alive in vibrant color, from the architecture that tells a story of past civilization to the cuisine that’s passed down from generation to generation. With 43 districts and 9 million inhabitants, there’s so much to explore on a cruise to Lima Peru.
Day 14 - Pisco (San Martin), Peru
One of the area's main attractions in the province is the Paracas National Reservation, where 216 species of birds have been recorded. Generally used as a base to see the the abundant wildlife of the Islas Ballestas and Península de Paracas, the area is also of historical and archaeological interest, having hosted one of the most highly developed pre-Inca civilizations—the Paracas culture from 900 BC until AD 200. Pisco is also home to its namesake brandy, produced since the late 16th century in its wine-making region.
Day 17 - Valparaiso, Chile
The picturesque neighborhoods of Valparaíso extend up into the 45 steep hills overlooking this busy Chilean port and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Brilliant murals and wonderful street art in bright, bold color dominates this seaside town. There’s so much to discover on a Valparaiso cruise. To explore the churches and architectural landmarks that make this a World Heritage site, ride the vibrant ascencores, a series of elevators that are over 100 years old. Many of the ascensores have ceased operation, however the few that are still running also offer wonderful birds eye views. Walk along the Caleto Portales Beach and take in the views of the ocean, the people, and the occasional sightings of sea lions sunbathing. Then, make your way to one of the many restaurants along the shore for delicious specialty dishes like empanadas, ceviche, the famous conger chowder and the freshest seafood.
