Ensenada, Mexico
Ensenada, one of Mexico's most successful cities, has grown from a sleepy fishing village to become a popular beach resort. This oft-visited Baja destination is a multi-faceted jewel. Among its most popular locations are the waterfront promenade, the fashionable shops of Avenida Primera, and the winery of Bodega Santo Tomas, founded by the Dominicans in 1888. La Bufadora, a natural sea geyser located nearby, puts on a highly dramatic show.
The Riviera Pacifica with the Bar of the Seven Sins is located here. It boasts a colorful past - it was once the playground of California gentry and stars of the silver screen. Festive shops, a main street and a former prison that now serves as an Aztec Museum are just some of the highlights of this Baja Peninsula favorite.
San Diego, California
In addition to being home to a world-class zoo and aquarium, San Diego is a laid-back navy town that is the closest U.S. city to Mexico. Great Mexican/American cuisine, Spanish-inspired architecture and what some consider the best weather in North America, make San Diego a destination unto itself.
San Diego is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic, vibrant and beautiful cities in the United States. Beginning in the late 1700s around the Catholic mission of San Diego de Alcala, the town and harbor grew to be a vital port on California's Pacific coast.
Though the military presence has been greatly reduced over the past few years, San Diego has a long and abiding relationship with the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Navy, under Marine guard, first raised the American flag over San Diego on July 29, 1846. From World War II through Viet Nam, the Cold War and beyond, many San Diego families eagerly awaited their loved ones to return from the sea.
Rich with Mexican – American culture, San Diego has many wonderful museums, restaurants, parks, entertainment and shopping venues, and professional sports teams. The bay, surrounding waters and beaches combine with great weather year round to offer a wide variety of opportunities for boaters, surfers and swimmers. A city with an active, outdoor life style mixed with its own brand of "California Cool" ... San Diego
Los Angeles, California
Rodeo Drive, Spago, Mann's Theatre, Sunset Boulevard. There is so much to see and do in this entertainment capital, you'll have to be judicious with your time. Shop and sightsee as you keep your eyes open for Hollywood's heroes and villains in their off-screen persona. L.A. has it all and then some. See the homes of the stars, or visit the Griffith Observatory and do some celestial stargazing.
Los Angeles is a fantasy land, a city built in a desert,
looking out over the largest ocean on the face of planet earth, yet they call their team "The Lakers". Lalaland is a mythic place where Jack Warner and his brothers synced moving celluloid and recorded sound and thereby changed the world forever. Los Angeles is a town where "if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball" and "stupid is as stupid does". It is the wonderment where "not everyone can become
a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere." It is a magic factory where hope is held together by gossamer thread…a tensile town where the stars outnumber and outshine those in the heavens…
where unknown actors like Issur Danielovitch, Maurice Micklewhite and Marion Morrison became giants of the silver screen … once the studio worked on their names.

Santa Barbara, California
Santa Barbarais situated on an east-west trending section of coastline, the longest such section on the West Coast of the United States, the city lies between the steeply-rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Santa Barbara's climate is often described as Mediterranean, and the city is known as the "American Riviera."
The county is famous for its beautiful beaches, most of which lie along a unique south-facing stretch of coastline that affords beach visitors sun all day long and more shelter from winds and surf. But there's far more here than beaches. The county encompasses enormously varied terrain: Nearly one-third of its total acreage is set aside in the Los Padres National Forest, which includes the rugged San Rafael Wilderness Area. Santa Barbara County's topographical diversity creates a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities in a relatively compact area.
Imagine London, Sydney or Buenos Aires - great food, great shopping, great culture. Now shrink it to about 20 square miles. Delete traffic and noisy, crowded streets. Keep the pedestrian-friendly, easy-to-get-around part plus the great architecture. Add wine. Now surround it with beautiful mountains, rolling valleys and miles of beautiful beach. Don't forget beautiful hotels and outstanding restaurants! Welcome to the American Riviera
San Francisco, California
Much has been written about the Bay Area. From its seafood and sourdough breads to Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is the ideal city for visitors. Trolleys and prominent landmarks make getting around this eclectic metropolis easy. One of the best views in town can be had from the Coit Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks in the city and a fine example of Art Deco architecture.
When John Fremont sailed into San Francisco in 1846, he found no famous bridge, but a golden light reflecting off the high cliffs that flank the bay's only entrance. He named it Golden Gate and its glowing welcome still creates a striking first impression. Fall under the spell of Chinatown's intense bustle, wispy bay mists, roller-coaster streets and clunking cable cars, the only mobile national monuments in the entire US.
Alcatraz

Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square
Covering about half a dozen blocks along the waterfront, it constitutes much of the stereotypical San Francisco image and together they are perhaps the most popular things to do in San Francisco.
Golden Gate Park
At 1,000 acres, this is larger than Central Park in New York and include Botanical Gardens with 6,000 plant species, an aquarium and planetarium as well as horse stables and an archery field.
Astoria, Oregon
As the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies, Astoria's historic surroundings instantly transport visitors to a simpler time. Architecturally dominated by hundreds of Victorian homes, there are a variety of other attractions to visit including the 4.1 mile long Astoria Bridge, a 1920's style downtown area and the Columbia River, just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. If the beauty of the river fails to capture your imagination, then the pristine forests and majestic mountains surely will.
Stroll through the revitalized 1920's-era downtown of this picturesque community set at the mouth of the Columbia River, or travel a few miles to Fort Clatsop, where Lewis and Clark encamped during the winter of 1805-06.
Victoria, British Columbia
The capital of British Columbia is located on Canada's largest island, Vancouver Island. This seaside enclave and one time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor. And thanks to a temperate climate, Victoria blooms with color during the spring and summer months.
On the southern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia and accessible from the Pacific Ocean thru the Strait of Juan de Fuca, visitors will find the elegant and exciting port city of Victoria.
The indigenous Songhees People lived in this coastal region for millennia prior to the arrival of Spanish and English explorers in the late 1700s. In 1843 James Douglas, a British fur trader with the Hudson's Bay Company built the original fort and trading post named for Queen Victoria and around which the city grew. And growth came quickly, some would even say over night. During what would become known as the Frasier Canyon Gold Rush in 1858, Victoria turned from a relatively quiet trading post into a bustling port and gateway into the Canadian interior of British Columbia. Victoria has rarely looked back since.
Today Victoria, having come from such humble beginnings, has earned the reputation of being one of the most beautifully livable cities in all of Canada.

Today the Gate of Harmonious Interest welcomes visitors to the historic area filled with the colors, architecture, and foods of a people who contributed much to the growth of this beautiful city
Seattle, Washington

Seattle is also home to a slew of fairs, festivals, galleries and museums. Seattle's mild, temperate marine climate allows year-round outdoor recreation, including walking, cycling, skiing, snowboarding and hiking through its lush forests.
