Mama Pomela (real name Mercedes) is fab and she will make sure that your meal is exactly as you want it, without making you feel anything other than welcome.
The food is consistently good, and the restaurant attracts many of the town's staff, as well as many regular returning visitors. If you want to become one of the Pomelo family, visit early in the season (Easter is fun), and you will not be forgotten.
The restaurant is always busy in the summer, being in the middle of the gay street. If you arrive to eat late, expect to feel like you're sitting in the middle of an extended open air bar. The terrace just gets bigger and bigger every year...
Mama Pomela pops up all over the place, usually as you're doing something that you shouldn't be doing, somewhere you shouldn't be doing it.
A good fun restaurant at any time of the year.
