Civitavecchia is the gateway to all the magnificence of the ancient city of Rome. Whether it's the Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon or St. Peter's Basilica that sparks your interest and intellect, Rome is home to a lifetime's worth of historical, architectural and spiritual sites. Depending on traffic, the drive from Civitavecchia to Rome takes approximately an hour and a half.
Capri, Italy - August 21, 2011
Capri is an Italian island off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples, in the Campania region of southern Italy. It has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.
Features of the island are the Marina Piccola (Small Harbor), the Belvedere of Tragara, which is a high panoramic promenade lined with villas, the limestone masses called Sea Stacks that stand out of the sea (the Faraglioni), Anacapri, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas.

Fiskardo, Greece - August 23, 2011
Fiskardo is often cited as the most beautiful village in the Ionian sea. It is blessed with mountains, forests and a series of blue bays and small coves where crystal clear water laps pebble beaches sheltered by olive trees.
The first thing that impresses visitors, especially if they arrive by boat, is the beautiful architecture of the houses with their tiled roofs and frenzy of colors. Ochre, blue and pink colored walls mix with the green, blue and red of the shutters. The village is now one of the most chic destinations in the Mediterranean, full of restaurants and coffee bars.
Delphi, Greece - August 24, 2011
Perched on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus with views of the Gulf of Corinth, Ancient Delphi, was the most famous pilgrimage destination of the ancient world, and is now one of Greece's best archeological sites.
It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Ancient Greeks deemed Delphi "the navel of the earth" and built the Sanctuary of Apollo in Delphi to worship Apollo, god of the sun. Covered with cypress trees, it is also home to the famous Delphi Oracle and the Sanctuary of Athena.
Corinth Canal, Greece - August 24, 2011
 Enjoy the imposing landscape in the Corinth Canal's protected waters, one of the engineering masterpieces of the 19th Century.
We will be guided through its history, which started in 602 B.C. The famous Corinth Canal separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece, and connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. The Corinth Canal, though only completed in the late 19th century 1870's, was an idea and dream whose history began over 2000 years ago.
Santorini, Greece - August 25, 2011

 Hydra is the most famous island in Argosaronikos and one of the most cosmopolitan points in the Mediterranean. Many international artists, writers and jet-setters call this island home at least part of the year.
The countless natural beauties, architecturally historic stone mansions, narrow paved backstreets, beautiful monasteries, picturesque churches in combination with the historical and cultural wealth of the island fascinate the visitor.  The fact that there are no cars on the island, and the transfers are on foot, by lovely little donkeys or by marine taxis, gives a charming sense of peace.
Chic boutiques and crafty stores line the limani (harbor) along with excellent restaurants serving a wide variety of international and local cuisine. At night Hydra comes into its own with a vibrant taverna, bar and disco scene.
