Day 1 - Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
From the monuments of the ancient empire to the pursuit of la dolce vita, the Eternal City is an unrivaled open-air museum and a lively modern metropolis. The tiny enclave of Vatican City is home to sacred sites and priceless art. Follow in the steps of gladiators in the Colosseum, make a splash in the Trevi Fountain or explore the stunning architecture of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. In Rome you can lose yourself in fascinating history, shop for gorgeous fashions in exquisite boutiques or savour the delights of pizza, cappuccino or gelato. With numerous galleries, gardens and piazzas – ideal for people watching - you’ll find plenty to do.
Day 2 - Sicily (Messina), Italy
Just a few miles from mainland Italy, Messina has served as a gateway to the island of Sicily since antiquity. Over the centuries, the city has been influenced by foreign invaders and powers, and its architecture is a mix of old and new. Meddle with the Mafiosi on the fascinating Godfather Tour of the film’s famous sights in Messina, the gateway to Sicily. Explore Messina’s impressive cathedral or head for stylish and stunning Taormina, with its lovely coastline and vibrant shops, markets and restaurants. Not far from Taormina you can visit fiery Mount Etna and its eerie moonscapes of smoking lava. Stop at a gelateria for heavenly Italian ice cream.
Day 3 - A Day at Sea!
Sit back, kick off your shoes and put your feet up during our 'at sea' day, where you can chill in the bar, lounge by the pool or enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment in the spa. For simple pleasures, why not try a game of table tennis? Or if you’re feeling energetic, now’s the chance to explore all the amazing activities the ship has to offer, from spectacular, West-End-style entertainment to adrenalin-charged sports.
Day 4 - Mykonos, Greece
One of the most popular Greek islands, Mykonos mixes sun, fun, glamour and tradition. Relax at a beach and wander the maze-like streets of the scenic, chic port-town. Delos, a sacred islet of antiquity, is a boat ride away. Surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, jet skiing – Mykonos is a paradise for water sports. With its whitewashed houses, iconic windmills and dazzling seas, Mykonos is for relaxation, people watching and fun. Explore the mythological birthplace of Apollo in the ruins of ancient Delos or sip cool ouzo in a beachside bar. For delicious treats, visit the Gioras Wood Medieval Bakery, which still uses a wood fired oven to make bread.
Day 5 - Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey
The seaside resort of Kusadasi is your gateway to the ruins of ancient Ephesus, a magnificent regional capital of Imperial Rome. Closer to port, explore sights like a Venetian-Byzantine castle, an Ottoman mosque and a Turkish old town. Be blown away by the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, in this excavated Greco-Roman city, dating back to 6000 BC. Tread where ancient sailors, traders and pilgrims once came together in this bustling cosmopolitan port and marvel at its breath-taking columns, bath houses, library and Great Theatre. Don’t miss the Ephesus Museum for a fascinating insight into the daily lives of gladiators.
Day 6 - Santorini, Greece
No other Greek island is more famous for its romantic setting, mythic beauty, and volcanic scenery. Santorini enchants with a deep blue bay, high cliffs, black and red sand beaches, and white-washed towns perched on the crater rim. The sight of spectacular Santorini will take your breath away. Be spellbound by sun-kissed beaches, cobalt seas, dazzling white houses, bright blue domes and dramatic volcanic mountains. Wander in lovely villages with narrow streets and winding steps, tasting a meze, Greek wine or pastry along the way. Secluded coves, hot springs and ancient settlements only increase the charms of this stunning island.
Day 7 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece
Discover the splendors of Greece’s epic past in the ancient city that is also the capital of a modern nation. The hilltop Acropolis has overlooked Athens for 2,500 years. Below, a park-like promenade links many iconic sights. Shop for souvenirs, jewellery, handicrafts and bric-a-brac in colourful Monastiraki Flea Market or explore the narrow streets, taverns and shops of the old Plaka district of Athens. Be impressed by the city’s majestic and awe-inspiring classical sites, including the Acropolis, the National Archaeological Museum and Roman Agora, and savour the delights of Greek cuisine in the chic cafes, bars and restaurants.
Day 8 - A Day at Sea!
A well deserved rest after 4 days of sightseeing in a row. Enjoy the cocktails at the pool and the friends you made on board. Whether you seek an adrenaline rush or total tranquility, our ships have it all. Try rock climbing, mini golf and basketball on our sports court. Melt away land-based stress with a spa massage, build a scrapbook of memories or simply relax poolside.
Day 9 - Naples (Capri), Italy
Smile – you’re in unmissable Italy. One of Europe's oldest cities, Naples is vibrant and filled with rich artistic and architectural heritage. Nearby sights include the ruins of ancient Pompeii uncovers, the idyllic resort isle of Capri, and the jewel-like towns that dot the Amalfi Coast. Whizz on a zip-line over a 16th-century reservoir, hike around the rim of scary Mount Vesuvius or indulge in a boat ride to stylish Capri. Sample Limoncello liqueur, salami or fresh mozzarella and explore dramatic Pompeii and stunning Sorrento. In Naples, discover the Royal Palace, the San Carlo Opera House and the Duomo, the city’s Cathedral.
