Western Caribbean Gay Bears Cruise 2025
6 nights from/to Fort Lauderdale, Florida
November 02 08, 2025
Princess Cruises Majestic Princess
An Idyllic Western Caribbean Gay Bears group cruise cruise on Princess Cruises Majestic Princess. The laid-back Western Caribbean is home to many of the region’s most popular islands; known the world over for some of the most stunning white sand beaches, sparkling and historic ports of call, and the culture of some of the friendliest host peoples imaginable. From the gorgeous sun-splashed islands of Cozumel and Roatan to the Mayan Ruins of Costa Maya, this bears group cruise itinerary gives you the best of it all... and 2 full days at sea for you to refresh, recharge and renew.
Ancient Mayan ruins rise up from the jungle floor, breaking the pristine beauty of the rainforest to remind all who cruise the Western Caribbean of its deep cultural heritage. White-sand beaches and pristine azure waters are just the beginning with this region of the Caribbean. With just a little exploration on a Western Caribbean cruise, you can open up a world of jungle adventures, breathtaking barrier reefs and powerful cultural connections unlike any other.
Cruise to Cozumel, which was once the home to the legendary Mayan goddess of the moon, Ixchel, and the moment you step onto this tropical wonder you'll understand why they believed a goddess called this island home. From white-sand beaches and azure waters to snorkeling through an immense coral reef and exploring ancient Mayan ruins, Cozumel is one of the most dynamic Caribbean cruise ports.
Sitting atop an ancient coral reef system, surrounded by gorgeous crystal blue waters and featuring a lush tropical environment, the island of Roatan looks every bit the Caribbean wonderland. Visit the local iguana farm with over 3,000 iguanas roaming the grounds, snorkel and dive the pristine local reefs or sunken ships and Mayan artifacts, or just sit on the picture-perfect beach and relax without a care in the world.

Day 1 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida One of the most gay-friendly cities in Florida and a perfect destination for any visitor, Fort Lauderdale is home to beautiful sandy beaches and an exciting gay scene. Known as 'America's Venice' due to its extensive canal system it draws boaters as well as beach-goers, attracting more than 10 million visitors annually. Fort Lauderdale boasts world-class theaters, museums, sightseeing, and shopping. The hub of the city’s gay community is Wilton Manors, the residential neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale that is iconic for its high concentration of gay bars, restaurants and clubs.
Plan to stay a few days before or after your sailing to enjoy this resort-style town; have a beach day, shop and grab a drink in Wilton Manors... you'll be glad you did.
Day 2 - Fun Day at Sea! While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure. Lounge by the pool, be spoiled at the spa, taste the delicacies or explore the venues on-board, until we arrive at the next amazing destination.
Day 3 - Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico The sleepy fishing village of Mahahual is your gateway to Costa Maya. Here in the dense tropical forest and mangrove thickets of the southern Yucatan flourished the great Mayan civilization. During the Classic Period (200 - 1000 B.C.), the Maya erected elaborate stone cities of stepped pyramids, plazas, and palaces. Keen astronomers, they also developed a sophisticated mathematics, a highly accurate calendar, and a complex system of writing. Then, this fascinating culture literally disappeared as the Maya deserted their city complexes for the jungle interior. Today, visitors to Costa Maya can explore the ruins of the once great cities of Kohunlich, Dzibanché, and Chacchoben.
Day 4 - Roatan (Mahogany Bay), Honduras
Both the Spanish and the English fought for the colonization and control of Roatan with neither party ever settling on Roatan permanently, yet both the English and the Spanish strongly influenced the culture, language, and heritage we see on Roatan today. Roatan is arguably the most diverse community in Honduras. The heritage of those living on Roatan ranges from expats from Italy, Europe, Canada, and the United States. There are also the Mestizo Indians native to the island and the mainland. The visitor to Roatan can soar as high as a bird through the jungle canopy on a seemingly hundreds-of-feet-high zipline after breakfast, by lunchtime be getting your amateur zoologist on snuggling monkeys and sloths at an animal refuge, and be swimming with tropical fish and sea turtles among the coral right before dinner.
Day 5 - Cozumel, Mexico
Cozumel is Mexico's largest Caribbean island, situated about 40 miles south of Cancun. There is only one main town on the island - San Miguel de Cozumel. Less than five percent of the island is developed; and most of the undeveloped land is rugged jungle with quiet, deserted beaches. Besides quiet relaxation, a few small Mayan ruins and some general water sports, diving and snorkeling are the main attractions here. Also a highlight is the Chankanaab National Park. At the center of this park there is a land-locked pool (cenote) connected by an underground tunnel to the sea. You can snorkel in the sea and the beach at the park is wonderful - one of the best on the island; it’s perfect for sunbathing. The San Gervasio ruins, which date back to 100 BC, can be found on Cozumel.
Day 6 - Fun Day at Sea!
Enjoy a day at sea by taking advantage of all the ship has to offer. Later in the evening, enjoy shows onboard which were developed by the world’s most-talked-about producers and artists. With a festival-like lineup featuring original, first-to-sea productions, extraordinary pop-up acts, and immersive experiences, the entertainment on board is something you’ve never seen before.
Day 7 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale is the gay capital of Florida and a laid-back paradise of relaxation and discovery. Stretching white sand beaches that are warm from the almost constant sun give way to a bustling downtown and eclectic and diverse array of neighborhoods, brimming with blossoming art and cultural scenes and rich with entertainment. The city’s main gay district is Wilton Manors, an exciting and vibrant district that has a long history as a strong and thriving enclave of gay culture. Spanning multiple blocks, the area boasts a plethora of gay bars and clubs that are suited to any gay traveler’s tastes desires.
