Alaska Spring Gay Bears Cruise 2026
7 nights from/to Seattle, Washington
May 10 – 17, 2026
Princess Cruises Star Princess
Join us on Alaska Spring Gay Bears Cruise. We are not in the habit of telling you what to do, but after our first sailing to Alaska a few years ago we strongly suggest you visit if you have never been before. No film or book can truly capture the stunning beauty of this land - when you look out to a view that has not changed since the first men to brave this area in a hulled-out canoe laid eyes on it, it will take your breath away. You’ll always remember Alaska – its forests, fjords and ice-blue glaciers, plus the welcoming towns, from Ketchikan and Skagway to Juneau... it’s simply like no place else on earth.
On an Alaska cruise, you’ll encounter massive tidewater glaciers, iconic wildlife, Klondike Gold Rush history and fascinating Native Alaskan cultures. You'll travel to the best places for viewing wildlife and experience scenic cruising along Glacier Bay, your Alaska vacation is a pleasure from start to finish.
During our seven day voyage we will stop at three of Alaska’s most iconic towns, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. At Ketchikan and Skagway take advantage of participating in such magnificent day trips on the famed Mendenhall Glacier or a train ride on the vintage train through the White Pass. Dog sledding anyone? In addition we visit the charming and very British town of Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) with its quaint Victorian architecture. He you may also visit the famed Buchart Gardens. Technically past rainy season (although it could still drizzle) the magnificent wild flowers will be in full bloom along with lush forests of tall pines. The temperatures will be pleasantly cool and quite comfortable.
We invite you to experience an Alaska cruise vacation as only Princess can show you. One word is all you need to describe Alaska. Breathtaking! Being part of our gay group we will have private cocktail parties and events to bring us together as one happy family. By the end of the week you will have made many new friends.

A Sphere-class ship, offering a variety of international itineraries, top highlights onboard include The Dome, a multi-functional entertainment space, alongside a newly-revamped Piazza and the tranquil Lotus Spa. Star Princess also boasts the exclusive Sanctuary Collection offering, with private dining, opulent accommodation and the relaxing Sanctuary Club area for Sanctuary guests.
Star Princess guests have fun meeting up in the soaring Piazza-style atrium and watching first-run films at Movies Under the Stars. Adults have a private oasis at The Sanctuary.
Infused with light, our next generation Piazza connects you to the world with dynamic views and innovative experiences. Stroll through this — a hub of activity, inspired by the vibrant squares of Europe. Bring the world to you, and enjoy ocean views in every direction.
The Promenade Lounge and Bar is a prime people-watching area on the Star Princess. The Skywalkers Nightclub on the top deck offers great views, libations, and music. A variety of duty-free shops will scratch the shopping bug, and if you just want to sink into a hot tub, there are plenty on board.
From casual to fine dining, the Star Princess offers something for everyone. Fresh pasta and seafood is the norm at Italian restaurant Sabatini’s. Enjoy a British pub lunch at the Wheelhouse Bar. For cooked-to-order steaks and premium seafood, indulge at Crown Grill.
The Dome
Inspired by the terraces of Santorini, The Dome is a multi-level covered deck and first-of-its-kind glass-enclosed dome ever constructed on a cruise ship. During the day, the Dome features an indoor/outdoor pool and unique water feature in a comfortable and relaxed space. At night, the pool becomes a stage, and the Dome completely transforms into an entertainment venue with a South Beach vibe, state-of-the-art lighting effects and stunning entertainment.

We can configure it in different ways — even in the round! — and its crowning glory is an LCD panel that brings productions to life. More ways to configure the stage means more ways to entertain you.

Day 1 - Seattle, Washington
Seattle is a young city with a rich history. Settlers first landed at Alki Point in 1851 and named the area after Sealth, the Suquamish Indian chief who befriended them. Rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1889, "The Emerald City" has a legacy of vision and strength. Seattle has hosted two World's Fairs (1909 and 1962) and is the birthplace of two modern marvels, Boeing and Microsoft. The mild weather, spectacular natural surroundings and rich cultural diversity attract visitors from around the world, and our host hotel puts you right in the center of everything the visitor to Seattle wants to see.
Day 3 - Ketchikan, Alaska
Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means "eagle with spread-out wings," a reference to a waterfall near town.
In the early 1900s, when gold was Alaska's claim to fame, fishing and timber industries were established in Ketchikan. The growth of these industries helped make this Inside Passage port Alaska's fourth-largest city.
Visitors to Ketchikan will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage, which includes the world's oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Center. The Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian are all a part of the city's colorful history. Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sportfishing paradise. Sightseers will be impressed with both the scenic town and its surroundings, especially Misty Fjords National Monument.
Day 4 - Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier (Scenic Cruising), Alaska
This narrow fjord is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Juneau and is part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness area. Breathtaking Endicott Arm extends over 30 miles long, with nearly one-fifth of its area covered in ice. At the head of the fjord, tidewater glaciers, such as the Dawes Glacier, regularly expel enormous chunks of ice into the waters below in a magnificent process known as calving. During the summer when Princess ships visit, icebergs float along the surface of the glistening water in an array of sizes, from just a few inches up to three stories wide.
Protected within the Tongass National Forest, Endicott Arm is a haven for wildlife. Black and brown bears, deer, wolves, harbor seals, mountain goats and a variety of seabirds have been spotted in the area.
As you glide through the pristine fjord, you'll first pass by a lush forest where a number of beautiful waterfalls cascade down, and then you'll be treated to views of snowcapped mountains and blue-tinged glaciers more spectacular than you could ever imagine.?
Day 4 - Juneau, Alaska
In 1880, it was slow going for Joe Juneau and Richard Harris as they searched for gold with the help of Native guides. After climbing mountains, forging streams and facing countless difficulties, they found nuggets "as large as beans."
From their discovery came three of the largest gold mines in the world. By the end of World War II, more than $150 million in gold had been mined. Eventually the mines closed, but the town Joe Juneau founded became the capital of Alaska and the business of gold was replaced by the business of government.
Some 30,000 people live in Juneau. Its total area makes it one of the biggest towns, in size, in the world. Only Kiruna, Sweden, and Sitka, Alaska, exceed Juneau's 3,248 square miles.
Today Juneau is famous not only for gold and government but also for its breathtakingly beautiful glaciers and stunning views of both water and mountains.
Day 5 - Skagway, Alaska
Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for the thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with the hope of striking it rich. Skagway may have boasted the shortest route to the Klondike, but it wasn't the easiest.
Over 100 years ago, the White Pass route through the Coast Mountains and the shorter but steeper Chilkoot Trail were used by countless stampeders. Many a would-be miner perished on the treacherous Chilkoot Trail.
The gold rush was a boon and by 1898, Skagway was Alaska's largest town with a population of about 20,000. Hotels, saloons, dance halls and gambling houses prospered. But when the gold yield dwindled in 1900, so did the population as miners quickly shifted to new finds in Nome.
Today, Skagway has less than 1,000 residents. It still retains the flavor of the gold rush era.
Day 7 - Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Victoria exudes old-world charm and fragrant, colorful flowers are everywhere. Founded in 1843 by James Douglas of the Hudson's Bay Company, the city was first known as Fort Victoria. By 1848, Vancouver Island was a British colony and Victoria was its capital.
In 1858, Victoria was a tent city and the base for some 25,000 prospectors on their way to the Frasier River gold fields. When Vancouver Island was incorporated with mainland British Columbia in 1868, Victoria became the capital of the entire province.
Although it's a port city, Victoria is not as industrially oriented as Vancouver. The harbors, especially Inner Harbour, are dotted with pleasure craft, ferries and floatplanes. The city is renowned for its beautiful gardens, charming houses and very British feel.
Day 8 - Seattle, Washington
Seattle offers plenty of metropolitan delights — think great restaurants, bars, a ton of shopping and lots (and lots) of hip coffee shops — Seattle is a big city with a wild, great-outdoors soul. Head to Discovery Park for beautiful views of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges or visit the Olympic Sculpture Park near Elliott Bay. When we get back to Seattle, you'll have enjoyed great fun, had some memorable experiences, and made some new friends during your all-too-short vacation. See you again soon, We hope!
