Greek Isles, Turkey & Italy Mediterranean Gay Daddy Cruise 2026
9 nights from/to Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
September 11 20, 2026
Carnival Cruise Lines Carnival Legend
Come join our intimate and super-friendly group of Daddies, bears, admirers and friends as we cruise Italy, Greek Isles & Turkey. We'll sail round trip from Rome to Ephesus, Turkey; and then 3 stops in Greece before we return to Italy - Naples, and then ending in Rome. All this aboard the stylish Carnival Legend on a longer-than-usual 9-night Gay Daddy Cruise.
Few places in the world pack in as much culture per square meter as Europe does… and nobody packs fun into Europe like Carnival does! There’s so much variety across the continent and its islands, and with Carnival you have options for experiencing many of these places by sea. Cruise the Mediterranean and soak in the espresso-fueled, yet somehow unhurried, cobblestone-lined street life from a sidewalk café.
In ancient times it was said that all roads lead to Rome… but in your case, the seaport of Civitavecchia is your road to Rome. Get there and you’ll find out what made the place so popular. The Vatican's Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo, the Colosseum with its lurid history, and the Trevi Fountain — where a tossed coin promises your return — are not to be missed on any visit to the so-called “Eternal City,” one of the cradles of civilization. Take a walking tour of Rome’s many historical landmarks and enjoy the lively sidewalk cafés, ending the day alla romana strolling...
How’d you get so perfect, Mykonos? Check out some pics of the town and you might wonder why the buildings are so perfectly white. Or maybe you won’t wonder, since it’s easy to just get lost in awe of the island’s picturesque beauty, of how perfect it all just happens to be, from the Cycladic architecture with brilliant blue accents to the stoic windmills. Just why Mykonos became one of Greece’s most iconic international travel destinations, a nightlife capital for the rich in the ’60s and ’70s — and today continues to attract seekers of great shopping, dining and strolling — all becomes evident when you visit. Also, don’t miss Mykonos’s neighboring island, Delos, for another side of Greece, the side with archaeological ruins of temples and sanctuaries from ancient times.
Cruise to Athens, Greece and fall in love with the city’s unique claims to fame. This one-of-a-kind, history-rich destination can boast to not only be the home to the Olympic games throughout the ages… but also the birthplace of democracy. Talk about competitive team sports! To this day, Athens is a city as rich in history as it is immersed in mythology. On cruises from Athens, you’ll see ancient feats of architecture like the Acropolis, Parthenon and Temple of Olympian Zeus mingling with modern museums, cafes and shops across the Athenian landscape. It’s a one-of-a-kind destination, and a must-see stop on any Greek Isles cruise.
Your Ship - Carnival Cruise Lines Carnival Legend
We sail on the Carnival Legend. Cruise Critic rates her 4 out of 5 stars. They love the extensive refurbishment the Legend got in 2024, including several upgrades to dining options. Even when she’s full, Cruise Critic says the Legend is large enough, but not particularly crowded.
Our main hangout will be the Alchemy Martini Bar, where trained mixologists whip up concoctions on the spot—from the menu as well as newly created just for you! Afterhours, attend a stunning show in the grand Follies Lounge (the main theater), or head to the Punchliner Club, featuring top-notch comedians, different every night. Or perhaps a lively evening in the Billie’s Piano Bar.
We’ll be in the Mediterranean, so during the day you’ll want to cool off at one of the several pools on board—one of which is in the Serenity Adult Only Retreat area. No kids allowed, yay! And no additional fee either, double yay!). Now, if you’re feeling adventurous, check out Legend’s new onboard water park with it’s two big water slides and other water features.
Legends are made, not born... and over time, this ship has become even more deserving of its nameplate. Let’s discover some of the secrets of Carnival Legend.
If you’re out to find new legends, flip directly to the RedFrog Pub, featuring not only a mythical mascot, but actual drinks — plus Caribbean atmosphere by the gallon. Your heroic journey down the Green Thunder waterslide is a saga you’ll recount for ages. Bonsai Sushi proves that you needn’t teach a man to fish for him to enjoy delicacies from the sea. Once you’ve had a look — not to mention a taste — at the cocktail magic of Alchemy Bar, you still may not believe your eyes. And Carnival Legend even has a place for saluting some real-life heroes: Heroes Tribute Bar.
This ship, which pays tribute to some of the most enduring legends throughout the ages, still features classic Carnival Legend favorites. Take a dip in the Camelot and Avalon pools, wish for fortune at Club Merlin Casino, and uncover something to savor at Truffles Restaurant. There’s more than one way to dine at Lido Deck’s Unicorn Café, including handmade faves from Guy’s Burger Joint or fresh taco-burrito goodness from BlueIguana Cantina. And of course there’s our signature steakhouse, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, where the multi-course meal is no myth.
Music lovers who go for the classics will love Billie’s Piano Bar. Adults can get lost in a good book, or just one another’s company, at the legendarily kid-free Serenity Adult-Only Retreat. Experience unheard-of levels of relaxation at Cloud 9 Spa. Then, when the sun goes down, dance the night away at Medusa’s Lair Dance Club. Activities on Carnival Legend? Nothing short of legendary. For a cruise vacation that’s sure to go down in your history books, turn to Carnival Legend.

Day 1 - Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
The fun begins the moment you board the Carnival Legend - which has been designed from bow to stern for your fun and enjoyment. As we sail out of Rome, we’ll gather for a hosted Daddy Cruise Party. Here, you’ll meet your fellow cruisers and start making new friends right away. We’ll sail leisurely down the coast of Italy - passing the famous Amalfi coast (we/ll stop there on our way back to Rome later).
Day 2 - Fun Day at Sea!
Our first full day is at sea. Relax, unwind and get into vacation mode (and start recovering from jet lag!). Lounge on your private balcony or near one of the pools, or maybe even find a quiet nook to settle in with a book. Want to be more active on your day at sea? Play bingo, work out at the gym, watch a movie, dance all night, attend a cooking seminar, soak in a hot tub, watch a sunset (or a sunrise), play trivia games, sing along at the piano bar, do some wine tasting, check your email or surf the internet, grab a snack, watch live entertainment, get lucky in the casino, indulge in a spa treatment, catch the game in the sports bar, and on and on.
Day 3 - Fun Day at Sea!
What’s the hurry to get there? We’ll enjoy another relaxing day at sea. Or, will that be another exhilarating day at sea? It’s your vacation, so you decide!
Day 4 - Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Once a Roman provincial capital, Ephesus is also home to several of Christendom’s holiest sites. Walk ancient Roman ruins including the Odeum, the Celsus Libraray, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater seated 25,000 and is the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. Not a historian? Carpet weaving is a cottage industry in Turkey and here you can observe the different stages of the carpet making process (and perhaps find the perfect carpet to bring home with you!).
Day 5 - Mykonos, Greece
Widely recognized as a gay haven, Mykonos boasts hip boutiques, Little Venice and windmills. A stroll around town shopping, or a trip to the beach are in order here. Also visit the Aegean Maritime Museum, Delos Museum (featuring artifacts from the early Archaic period through the Roman Imperial times), or the Panagia Tourliani Monastery.
Day 6 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece
The past maintains a vibrant presence in the cradle of Western civilization. Atop the Acropolis, the serene Parthenon sails above the commotion of modern Athens. This is the birthplace of modern democracy. Below, and packed with busy shops and lively tavernas, modern Athens is a colorful counterpoint to classical Greece. Visit the Old Olympic stadium—host of the first modern games in 1896, as well as 2004. Other sites include the Temple of Zeus, the Plaka, the Acropolis, Temple of Poseidon, Ancient Agora, the Athens Museum, or maybe you’ll want to head to Corinth with its Temple of Apollo and the Corinthian canal (a 19th century engineering marvel). One day will certainly not be enough time for you to do much more than whet your appetite to return again soon!
Day 7 - Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
Perched on the west coast of the Peloponnesus, Greece's largest peninsula, this sleepy fishing village of some 300 souls is your gateway to Olympia, site of the original Olympic Games. Held every four years between 776 B.C. and 393 A.D., when the Emperor Theodosius banned pagan festivals, the Olympic Games celebrated the ideal harmony of mind and body. Every four years, the sacred flame of Altis is rekindled to light the torch for the Modern Games. Explore the ancient Greek ruins (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), go wine or olive oil tasting, or relax and soak up the sun on one of the lovely beaches—the choice is yours!
Day 8 - Relaxing Day at Sea! Here’s your last day to enjoy vacation mode while at sea! Take all day to relax, unwind, and enjoy your last day on board the Carnival Legend. You'll find there's still so much of the ship you haven't yet discovered! Explore, indulge, relax, rejuvenate - it's your call on your last sea day!
Day 9 - Naples (Amalfi/Pompeii), Italy Naples is Italy’s 3rd largest city, and a bustling metropolis famed for its stately buildings, crowded streets and of course its signature dish: pizza! But despite that, you’ll likely want to leave the city. You face a tough choice, tho. Do you tour the fabled Amalfi coast? Miles of beautiful scenery, from the fragrant lemon groves that dot the lush landscape, to the dramatic cliffs that meet the sea below. Or do you take a quick trip to Isle of Capri—posh destination of the rich and famous since Roman times? Or do you walk the ancient streets of Pompeii? When Mt Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, it completely buried this city. Today, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site with fascinating ruins that hint at a once-thriving metropolis. Now if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can actually climb Mt Vesuvius itself!
Day 10 - Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy Welcome back to Rome—enriched and inspired and full of memories that will last a lifetime! You'll find a decent gay scene in Rome, although it's smaller and more discrete than you might expect. You'll find more clubs and late-night events than gay bars as the gay scene in Rome tends to pick up later at night.
