Budapest, the capital of Hungary, can look back on an eventful history. It was founded in 1873, when the 3 districts Buda, Obuda and Pest united. Take the unique opportunity to get to know one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Take the opportunity to get to know the capital of the young Slovakian republic. Bratislava is located nearby the border triangle where the boundaries of Slovakia, Hungary and Austria meet and has always been considered as a melting pot of numerous peoples and cultures. The old town, which is well worth seeing, has succeeded in largely preserving its Gothic-Baroque style. Here, the fundamental changes that have taken place in recent years are clearly visible - everywhere, work is going on to restore the old buildings. A walk around through the old town is followed by a visit to the Primatialpalast (palace). You will also pass the Jesuit church, the Town Hall and Michael's Gate. Finally the tour leads you to the range of hills where the restored castle is located. From here, you have a breathtaking view over the city and the Danube valley.
During this city tour we would like to show you the most important sights of Vienna. The bus ride takes you through the Ringstrasse (boulevard) with its splendid buildings, including the Opera House, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), the Parliament building, the Town Hall, the Burgtheater (National Theatre) and many others. Vienna is a very complex city that cannot be captured at first glance. This becomes especially apparent when visiting the eccentric Hundertwasser municipal apartment block and art gallery, where a little surprise awaits you. The highlight is the visit of the Gothic Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral) located in the very heart of the city. You will discover quite a different aspect of Vienna on the brief exploratory stroll through the narrow streets and alleyways of the old town and the picturesque courtyards. Before the excursion ends, you have the possibility to visit a typical Viennese coffee house or to take a walk in the famous Kärntner Strasse.
The round trip through the region of the Wachau begins with a bus ride from Dürnstein to the Abbey of Göttweig, a masterpiece of Austrian baroque. Thanks to its location we will have a breathtaking view over the lovely landscape and the Danube valley. Discover, among other things, the Abbey church, the crypt and the cloister together with a skilful guide. Afterwards the tour continues by leading you to Krems, the "capital" of apricot growing. Take an individual stroll through the pedestrian area, located in the pretty old town or take the opportunity to taste the well-known apricot liqueur. The excursion ends in Melk where to the ship sailed in the meantime.
The excursion starts with a short bus transfer from the docking place of your ship up to the famous Abbey of Melk. The impressive Baroque building, erected in the early 18th century, thrones majestically above the town and attracts thousands of visitors annually. While touring this well-known sight you will see the abbey church, the marble hall and the world-famous library with more than 80,000 volumes and a stunning ceiling fresco. Get an impressive view of the Danube valley from the terrace. Following to the visit the bus takes a tour of the charming town before you return to the ship.
Passau, situated at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz, belongs due to its attractive location to the most beautiful towns of Germany. It looks back on a 2000 years old history and its derivation goes back to the pre-Christian time. Discover the most important sights of Passau as the old town itself, the late gothic town hall that houses and the impressive St. Steven's cathedral with the biggest organ in the world.

Nürnberg counts approximately 500'000 inhabitants and is the second largest city of Bavaria. It is an important industry and trade centre, what it partly owes the construction of the Rhine-Main-Danube-Canal. The old town, errected in the middle ages, underneath the proud Kaiserburg (imperial castle) and surrounded by towers and walls, is for tourists a sightseeing of first rate.
