Covering the southern tip of Florida, the Everglades is pristine wetlands that have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is known for its rich birdlife and is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles co-exist.
Flamingo Gardens
These lush gardens comprise 60 acres (24 hectares) showcasing rare, exotic and native plants including 22 champion trees. Attractions include the Everglades "Free Flight" Aviary, Alligator Lagoon, River Otter and Bobcat Habitats, Birds of Prey Centre and the Wildlife Encounter.

Queens Staircase
The Queens Staircase is the most visited spot in Nassau. Its 65 steps were carved out of solid limestone in the late 18th Century and named in honour of the 65 years of Queen's Victoria's reign.
Fort Charlotte
Built in 1789 this was named in honour of the wife of King George III. This is the largest fort in Nassau and it has never fired a shot in Battle. It includes a water-less moat, draw-bridge, ramparts and dungeons which are well worth a visit as is the fine view of Nassau Harbour.
Ardastra Gardens ZOO and Conservation Centre
Opened in 1937, these gardens and zoo feature approximately300 animals and are best known for its flamingoes. They also include species such as the Bahamas parrot and many species of iguanas.
Straw Market
Nassau's famous Straw Market is one of the largest in the world. Browse through an abundance of handmade mats, hats, and baskets along with fabrics, jewellery, woodcarvings, and guava jellies.
Kings Wharf, Bermuda
Nestled at the tip of Bermuda's West End, King's Wharf is home to the impressive Royal Navy Dockyard and the Crafts Market, where you can shop for great pieces handmade by island artists. Nearby Somerset Village boasts the world's smallest drawbridge, opening a mere 22 inches - just wide enough to accommodate a sailboat's mast.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

Sao Miguel is
the largest island of the mid-Atlantic Azores
archipelago and is known to locals as the "green
island" because of its lush foliage. The island,
and its capital of Ponta Delgada, attracts more
visitors than any other island in the archipelago,
due to its many attractions including its untouched
landscapes, volcanic formations, charming beaches
and tourist facilities. Today Sao Miguel is the most
important political and administrative center of the Azores.
The Azores covers an area of 373 miles (600
km). The nine volcanic islands that make up this
archipelago rest some 900 miles off the coast
of Portugal in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Legend has it that the Azores are that of the lost city
of Atlantis
Ponta Delgada has a population of approximately
21,000, and houses the government offices of the
Azores and the university. The city became the
capital in 1546, at which time barriers were erected
to protect the town from pirate attacks. Extremely
prosperous in both the 18th and 19th centuries, the
capital saw the building of many churches and estates.
Today Sao Miguel is known for its agricultural
products: tobacco, tea, chicory and pineapples.
Pineapples from Sao Miguel are a prized
commodity, exported throughout Europe, and
have been known to grace the grand buffets of
Buckingham Palace for the British Royal Family.
Southampton, England
