 This year we're watching the Sanremo Festival from a different perspective: from the sea, all together. From February 17 to 21, 2027, we will take you for the Music Cruise aboard Costa Cruises flagship Costa Toscana. Passengers aboard Costa Toscana will be able to experience the Sanremo Music Festival’s atmosphere from the sea. Costa Toscana, will take center stage in the Ligurian city’s bay during festival week.
For five years, Costa has brought its distinctive approach to entertainment into the heart of the city, transforming the ship into an exclusive destination where music, performance and atmosphere blend into an immersive experience.
On board, guests can soak up the energy of Sanremo from a unique vantage point — between the sea and the city — in a setting only Costa can provide. Each edition of the Music Cruise has delivered memorable moments, and 2027 will be no exception.

Usually, on our Redefinition cruises, we organize our own program of activities. This time, we're letting the music set the pace. We'll set sail as a group and experience together the program the ship has prepared for the Festival week: shows, themed evenings, and parties. With us, you'll have the freedom of a cruise and, in addition, the perfect company to sing, comment, and celebrate.
In addition to onboard activities, guests will have the opportunity to explore the city and the surrounding area, rounding out an experience that combines the allure of the sea with the destination’s finest offerings.
The Festival on the big screens, all together.
Every evening we gather in front of the ship's big screens to watch the Ariston evenings as a group. There will be predictions, comments on the looks, songs that will make us dance and those that will get us talking. Watching the Festival together has a whole different flavor.
Sanremo on land, as a group.
We'll explore Sanremo together to enjoy the Festival in the city. The historic center, the Ariston Theatre, the events, the activities, and the whole atmosphere of the most musical week of the year await us.
There is no airport in Savona so most passengers beginning or ending cruises there normally fly into or out of Genoa, or Milán-Malpensa Airport which lies 190km to the north. Shuttle transfers are available from the airport to Milano Centrale train stations from where there are some direct trains to Savona and others which require a change in Genoa.
Cruise ship passengers who are beginning or ending their cruise in Savona will find a selection of modern hotels in the historic centre or can stay in a beach hotel at the Playa de Luna resort to the south. A little further south but still only 15km from the cruise port is the lovely resort of Spotorno which is highly recommended for a few nights’ stay.
An evening in Savona is best spent dining on Ligurian seafood dishes at a local restaurant such as Ristorante Verso il Maestrale (Calata Pietro Sbarbaro) which overlooks the harbour. Alternatively, you can head for one of the city’s many family-run trattorias such as Pizzeria Vesuvio (Piazza Goffredo Mameli) which serves excellent pizzas and pasta dishes to a mainly local clientele.
