Northern Croatia Adriatic Deluxe Gay Cruise 2022
7 nights from Split to Opatija, Croatia
July 30 August 06, 2022
Deluxe Superior Ship MV Futura
Ready to set off on a breathtaking Croatia all-gay cruise from Split to Opatija? A fabulous tapestry of blue and green will amaze you while cruising and exploring the stunning Adriatic coastline and islands. The intermingling of various influences in the past has crystallized Croatia's spectacular scenery: small coves where bathers drift on crystal-blue waters, historical towns and sites, natural beauty of the national parks and so much more! Words can hardly express! One really needs to see and memorize!
With only 40 passengers on board, this is a relaxing gay cruise experience within a very friendly atmosphere. Intention of this cruise is to show beauty of Croatia islands and thousand year old cities and their rich history, to present Croatian lifestyle and heritage.
Gay Life Croatia Info
In smaller towns and tourist resorts, generally speaking, LGBT people meet in bars, clubs and c afés which are known to be gathering LGBT people and which are gay-friendly but do not specifically count as being gay. There are a lot of such places throughout Croatia and the atmosphere in many of them, not all, is relaxed and open-minded towards homosexuals.
If you are spending your vacation in a seaside resort you will have the best chance to meet LGBT people by visiting the gay beaches - and there are a lot of them along the amazing Adriatic coast. However, do not expect them to be too crowdie. In public places LGBT persons tend to act "straight" and therefore hard to "detect" while they're much more relaxed at the gay beaches. It is usually very easy to make contact with people in Croatia and when you get a Croatian friend you'll have a friend for life.
Many say that Croatia is a Mediterranean naturist paradise and judging by the number of nude beaches along the Croatian Adriatic coast this may well be the truth. Naked sunbathers are welcomed since the beginning of the last century when naturists were allowed only on a few especially designated areas. Today, except on official nudist beaches marked as “FKK”, nudity is often tolerated on many other so called "wild beaches".
Many say Croatia is the hottest new European destination. Well, hot, it certainly is, but new? Hardly. Croatia is as old as the hills, drawing Europeans who appreciate its beauty, beaches, history, culture and affordability. In the past few years more and more Americans, Aussies and tourists from other continents are discovering Croatia as well.
A place like Croatia offers a lot for everyone. Roman ruins and medieval villages are ubiquitous. The country's long rugged island-dotted coastline covers practically the entire eastern seaboard of the Adriatic, and there's no shortage of ancient towns encircled by picturesque crumbling walls. Vineyards, olive groves and beaches complete a montage of landscapes right out of central casting.

A dynamic port city with a medieval Old Town grown around the 1,700-year-old Diocletian's Palace, Split bustles with modern life amid its ancient Roman setting. Back on the vessel for lunch then cruise toward the island of Vis, once one of the main Greek colonies in the 4th century BC. As a Yugoslavian army base for a long period, until 1991, Vis was closed and left untouched by the development of tourism for many years. As a result, its culture and architecture are extremely well preserved. Take a walk, enjoy the views and taste some local delicacies at many excellent restaurants and taverns along the promenade. Overnight in Vis.
Day 3 - Monday, August 01, 2022 Vis - Biševo (Blue Cave) / Primošten
In the morning visit the famous Blue Cave on Biševo, a splendorous and unique geomorphological natural wonder. A hypnotizing silver-blue light illuminates the space inside the cave when the sunlight hits the surface of the ocean through a vault on its arched roof and reflects off the seabed (Entrance fee approx. 15 €, to be paid on the spot). The possibility of a cave visit will depend on weather conditions. A breakfast followed by a swim stop on the way to Primošten. Enjoy the lunch on board as the cruise continues towards Primošten, a small, picturesque town situated between Šibenik and Trogir, in the central part of the Adriatic coast and surrounded by seven other islets, a wonderful sight and a beautiful place to explore. Late afternoon transfer inland for an authentic heritage dinner. Overnight in Primošten.
Day 4 - Tuesday, August 02, 2022 Primošten - Kornati National Park / Zadar

Afterwards, the cruise continues towards Zadar, for centuries the capital of Dalmatia and the oldest university town in Croatia. Join a guided tour of the city. Zadar is well known for its rich historical heritage of world importance, visible at every step: the Roman Forum from the 1st century, St Donat church from the 9th century - the most famous medieval basilica and the symbol of the city, mighty city walls with a bow and a representative city gate from the 16th century, the Museum of ancient glass, over 30 churches in the old town, many palaces and villas, as well as the famous, contemporary Sea Organs and “Greeting to the Sun” light installation.
