FAQ When Booking

Is there a minimum age?
The minimum age is 18 years at the time of boarding the ship.

I am younger than 26 years when booking, but will be 26 years when boarding the ship. Can I enjoy the 100 € reduction?
Yes, since we want to do everything to have all ages aboard the ship! Your birth date will be checked when boarding the ship.

Are women welcome?
This cruise is organized for gay men, but we are happy to have some crazy women with us!

Are pets welcome?
Animals are not allowed on board, so you will have to look for a babysitter for your dog or cat.

I am travelling alone, so do i have to pay twice the price per person?
No, in categories D and I you can share a cabin with someone you don't know. If you don't want to do that, you will have to pay twice the price. But until 2 weeks before departure you can give us the name of a person joining you in your cabin at no extra cost. It is not possible to share with 3 or 4 persons you don't know.

Can I share my cabin with 3 or 4 friends who reserve together with me?
Sure you can, but we do not advise to share with 4 since the cabins on a cruise ship are rather small and this is really not comfortable.

Do the cabins have one double bed or 2 small beds?
Almost all the cabins have 2 small beds that can be converted into a double bed. Give us your preference when booking, and as long as your choice is available, you will have the bed you prefer. The earlier you book, the more chance you will have.

How are the cabins assigned?
You can give up your preferences when booking (deck level, front-middle-back of the ship, bed size, cabin number, close to other friends,...). Once your payment is accepted, we will take your preferences as much as possible into account and confirm you the number of your cabin. The earlier you book, the more we can comply with your requests, although the given cabin number is not legally binding, and could be changed in case of necessity.

What is a cabin with obstructed view?
It means that the view through the cabin window is obstructed by boats, which means that you only have a partial view through the window.

What is included in the price?
All food (also room service!) 24h a day, all soft drinks, all parties, all shows, all entertainment, use of sauna and gym, all port and government taxes.

What is not included in the price?
All costs before you board the ship, and after you quit the ship (flights, hotels, transfers,…); alcoholic beverages on the ship, personal expenses (casino, Spa treatments, shops, phone calls...); prepaid gratuities 65€ pp to be paid when boarding.

Do I need a passport and visa?
EU citizens only need a valid identity card. Non-EU citizens should inform which formalities they need to comply with in order to avoid a refusal of embarkation in Malaga.

How can i pay?
Holidaypride is very flexible with payment methods. You can pay on line with a credit card (Visa, Master Card) or a debit card (Bancontact/ Master Cash) in a safely secured way. You can do a bank transfer into the agency's account. When booking you can also opt to do the first payment with a credit card, and the following ones in a different manner.

Can I cancel without any costs?
Once you have booked, the cancellation fees apply that are mentioned on the price list and on your confirmation.

Why should I take a cancellation insurance?
The amounts paid for a cruise are important, so it would be a shame that you lose your money in case you cannot make the cruise due to unforeseen reasons like illness, a death decease in your family, etc... Holidaypride is offering you a cancellation insurance in partnership with Europese Reisverzekering, which is giving you a maximum of guarantees, and does not apply a franchise, so you will be covered for the whole amount.

But what if I already have an insurance with my credit card?
Most of the free insurances that are offered with your credit card have very limited coverage, and sometimes even don't apply on cruises, so you should check the general conditions.

Why am i booking a LA DEMENCE cruise through Holidaypride?
Holidaypride sprl is a reknown gay friendly travel agency in Brussels. It is a member of IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel association), and has a Belgian license as a travel agent A5542. LA DEMENCE has a partnership with Holidaypride in order to offer you a very professional assistance when booking and paying the cruise. According to the strict Belgian travel law, you have a maximum protection as a consumer. In case of bankruptcy all sums paid by you, are protected and paid back by Garantiefonds Reizen/ Fonds de Garantie Voyages.

I have a special diet. What should I do?
Aboard the ship everything will be done to comply with your diet, if you let us know one month before departure.

PreCruise

You should arrive in Malaga the day before the departure of the cruise. We will offer you a pre-cruise program. We advise to wait until you have received precruise information, and after book flights and hotels.

FAQ On Board

Is there a dress code?
No way! This is a LA DEMENCE cruise! The ship is ours for a week, so we will dress the way we like to dress, when we like it, and where we like it ! We will only ask you to wear a t-shirt inside the restaurants.

What about the party's?
There will be both sunset, and night parties, in open air at the pool, with the best light and sound system and the LA DEMENCE dj's ! The after parties will be inside the ships disco Zoom until very late... LA DEMENCE on water!

What about the shows?
On the one hand, there will be the shows that the Horizon is offering to its customers in general. On the other hand we will bring our own shows on the ship.

Is it allowed to smoke?
There will be designated smoking areas.

Do I need cash on board?
When boarding, your credit card will be charged a guarantee for your extra expenses. Or if you don't have a credit card, you can pay a guarantee in cash for the extra expenses. When checking out, you will have the choice to pay in cash or to be charged on your credit card.

We will offer you a post-cruise program. We advise to wait until you have all information then to book flights and hotels.
