After our Greek Islands Odyssey, your adventure begins in Istanbul, one of the world’s most remarkable cities, full of ancient monuments, awe-inspiring religious building and intoxicating bazaars. Istanbul’s strategic location has attracted many marauding armies over the centuries. The Greeks, Roman and Venetians took turns ruling before the Ottomans stormed into town and decided to stay. Exploring the iconic sites of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Grand Bazaar and cruising on the Bosphorus are sure to be just some of the highlights of spectacular Istanbul.

After 2 days in Istanbul we fly to Cappadocia, It is like landing on another planet filled with lunarscape panoramas and ‘fairy chimney’ rock formations. This regions’ accordion ridged valleys, shaded in a palette of dusky orange and cream, are the stuff of psychedelic daydreams. The fantastical topography is matched by human history here. People have long utilized the regions soft stone, seeking shelter underground and leaving the countryside scattered with underground cavern architecture. Highlights will include staying in one of Cappadocia’s exquisite cave hotels and witnessing the spectacular surreal landscape from a hot air balloon at sunrise.

Day 1 - August 31, 2019, Saturday
Arrive in Istanbul, Turkey
• Arrive Istanbul airport from Athens.
• Upon arrival transfer to city center for Lunch.
• Visit world famous St. Sophia and Grand Bazaar.
• Check in at the Pera Palace Hotel.
• After rest get ready for Welcome Dinner.
Overnight: Pera Palace Hotel, Istanbul.

Day 2 - September 1, 2019, Sunday
Istanbul, Turkey
• After breakfast visit Old Peninsula including Byzantine Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace (including Harem Section), Blue Mosque, Under Ground Cistern and Spice Market.
• Private boat for Bosphorus cruise.
Overnight: Pera Palace Hotel, Istanbul.

Day 3 - September 2, 2019, Monday
From Istanbul to Cappadocia
• After breakfast, transfer to airport for 12:20 pm flight to Cappadocia arrive in Kayseri at 1:45 pm.
• Scenic drive to town, stop for lunch before checking into hotel.
Overnight: Argos in Cappadocia Hotel, Uçhisar.

Day 4 - September 3, 2019, Tuesday
Cappadocia, Turkey
• Rise up early for those interested in the Hot Air Balloon ride. Come back to hotel for breakfast.
• Full day of touring Cappadocia: Pigeon Valley, Kaymakli Underground city, Goreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar Rock Castle, Esentepe Valley, Avanos and or Sinasos.
• Farewell dinner.
Overnight: Argos in Cappadocia Hotel, Uçhisar.

Day 5 - September 4, 2019, Wednesday
From Cappadocia to Istanbul
• After breakfast, Depart for Istanbul flight from Keyseri airport.
• Arrive in Istanbul for your international flight.
