The vibrant city of Nice, France, will once again light up with a spectrum of color, music, and festivities as it hosts Lou Queernaval, the LGBTQ+ Carnival! This unique event, part of the world-famous Nice Carnival, stands out as France’s first queer carnival, blending centuries-old traditions with a modern celebration of diversity, inclusion, and joy. Lou Queernaval is a bold and joyous addition to the Nice Carnival, emphasizing the spirit of equality and openness.
"Queer" and "Carnaval" combine to create a lively celebration where everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or background, can come together in the name of love and acceptance.

Held in the heart of Nice, Lou Queernaval transforms the city into a dazzling spectacle of music, dance, and theatrical performances. Expect flamboyant costumes, drag shows, vibrant parades, and electrifying live music that energize the crowd late into the night. With a carnival atmosphere that combines traditional Provencal influences with contemporary queer culture, Lou Queernaval offers something truly unique for attendees.
This year’s event promises even more elaborate floats, lively performers, and engaging themes. Beyond the entertainment, the festival serves as a platform for local and international LGBTQ+ artists and performers to showcase their talent and creativity.

Lou Queernaval is more than just a party—it’s a powerful statement of unity and acceptance. By integrating LGBTQ+ culture into one of France’s most iconic events, it challenges stereotypes and promotes a message of inclusion to locals and visitors alike. It’s an opportunity to break down barriers, build understanding, and celebrate the beauty of diversity.
The event also reflects Nice’s commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and its position as a welcoming city for all. From the warm reception of tourists to the ongoing support of LGBTQ+ organizations, Nice has established itself as a beacon of inclusivity on the French Riviera.
