Croatia Visa A visa is not required for American, Australian, British and Canadian citizens travelling to Croatia for fewer than 90 days. There may be exceptions, and all visas are the responsibility of the traveller.
Culture Shock Tourism in Croatia is well-developed enough to offer many of the luxuries of home. Not everyone you encounter will speak English, so we recommend you relax, have a sense of humour, and take it easy.
Local LGBT Scene in Croatia Homosexuality was legalized in 1977 in Croatia. While the LGBT community cannot marry, and homosexuality remains generally frowned upon, common-law marriage rights are given to same-sex couples who have been living together for over three years. There is also a small, but growing, gay scene in Croatia’s larger cities.

Weather July & August in Croatia can be scorching hot. Daytime highs are typically in the low 80's F (27C), but can easily rise up to 95F (35C). Evenings are typically a balmy 70F (21C) or so. There is also the possibility of rain, so bring along a small umbrella, and a waterproof outer layer.
Required Vaccinations Based on the entry requirements for Croatia, there are no vaccinations needed. To determine if you should take preventative measures to reduce the risk of illness, consult your doctor or a travel medical clinic… We cannot provide vaccination recommendations.
Electricity You will need an international travel plug/adapter for type F sockets.
Connectivity You will have Wi-Fi access through the trip, although on board our yacht, network speeds can be slow. Feel free to tweet, pin, post and share your experience with your friends and family at home. They might be a tad jealous!
Travel Insurance
For everybody’s peace of mind, medical travel insurance is required on all Out Adventures tours. At a minimum, your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability, with a minimum medical coverage of US $200,000.

Meals
To keep things simple, breakfasts and most other meals are included in the cost of your trip. There will be a few optional dinners at some of Croatia’s best restaurants on an opt-in basis.
Money
The local currency is the Croatian Kuna. We recommend carrying local currency for small purchases, however credit cards are accepted at hotels and most restaurants. However, your yacht bar bill can only be paid in cash (EUR, GBP, USD, CAD). We also recommend carrying approximately $400 USD, only to be used in the case of an emergency, or if your credit/ATM cards are placed on hold.
Tipping
On this tour we recommend budgeting approximately $150 USD to tip your local guide and ship crew. You will also want to budget tips for your bar bill as well as any meals and activities not included in the tour cost.
What to bring
Please keep your baggage under 20kg/44lb to avoid costly surcharges on domestic flights. You should also bring something smaller to carry a water bottle, your camera and souvenirs on day trips.

For Out Adventures’ 9th-annual Croatia gay cruise, we needed a ship as beautiful as the shimmering Adriatic. Enter The Black Swan, a glorious private yacht with room for up to 36 gay men! The Black Swan doesn’t just exude luxury and style. It is also a spacious, comfortable yacht with plenty of room to enjoy your vacation.

Black Swan is a new built (2018) Deluxe Superior vessel 158ft long and 28ft wide with 38 beds in 18 modernly equipped cabins. You can choose between five cabins on upper deck (some with panoramic windows), five cabins on main deck with large windows and eight spacious cabins in lower deck with port holes.

All cabins are equipped smartly and modernly with TV, air conditioning, ventilation, safety deposit box, SOS alarm, smoke detectors, emergency lights and audio system for announcements and light music. Free WiFI is available throughout the ship. Electrical outlets are European 2 pin point power outlet and 1 USB outlet.

Each cabin has a leather upholstered bed with space for luggage storage and safety jackets, a comfortable armchair, onyx desk, ottoman, two nightstands, spacious wardrobe closet and panoramic windows, large windows or portholes and a special light fixture above the bed for intimate lighting. Materials used for interior fittings are solid wood, veneer, onyx, marble, leather, stainless steel and glass.
