Catania Fontanarossa Vincenzo Bellini International Airport (CTA) is the closest airport to Taormina. There is a direct bus service between Catania airport and Taormina provided by the Etna Trasporti bus company. Alternatively, you can go to Taormina by train. Thanks to the new railway station 'Catania Aeroporto Fontanarossa', inaugurated in 2021, it got easier to get to Taormina by train.

• 10:00 AM: Join a group cooking class in Taormina and learn to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes with the guidance of a professional chef. The class lasts for four hours.
Make your way to Restaurant Porta Messina to meet the group.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, you’ll meet your professional chef who will guide you through the entire cooking experience.
The adventure begins with a visit to a nearby open market, where you’ll select fresh ingredients for your lesson.
The chef will demonstrate how to prepare traditional dishes and homemade pasta.
Once the meal is ready, you’ll sit down together to enjoy the food you’ve just prepared, paired with a glass of wine.

Day 4 - Thursday, August 07, 2025
• 11:45 AM: Walk 6 minutes to Mazzarò Beach and board for a four-hour boat tour along the stunning Taormina Coast.
This excursion will take you through the most beautiful bays of Taormina and Giardini Naxos, showcasing picturesque beaches, hidden coves, and striking caves nestled in the rocky cliffs.
Notable spots include the Blue Grotto in the Isola Bella Marine Park, perfect for snorkeling with mask and fins, the Cave of Lovers overlooking the Gulf of Giardini Naxos, and the Coral Grotto.
After your dive, enjoy a delicious lunch onboard, featuring local Sicilian specialties, and indulge in a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks throughout the tour.

• Indulge in a luxurious beach day at the stunning TAO Beach Club in Taormina, the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the Sicilian sun in style.
Nestled along the golden sands of the Baia delle Sirene, the private golden sandy beach of the Tao Beach Club has 9 relaxation stations where you can spend a rejuvenating day at the beach. With their position in front of the beautiful Baia delle Sirene of Taormina the cabana station includes a two-people day bed and two deckchairs with a small table and umbrella. The cabanas are therefore suitable for up to a maximum of four people.
The station includes: two sunbeds, an umbrella and a table. Waiter service is also available. Beach towels and WIFI service are also included. Positioning: 3rd row in front of the sea.

Day 7 - Sunday, August 10, 2025
• 8:30 AM: Meet your driver for the journey to the salt pans.
• 11:30 AM: Begin the exciting tour of the salt pans, discovering their rich culture and history.
Sea salt has been an essential resource throughout history, from cooking to food preservation. The Trapani area has been home to salt pans since the Muslim period, as mentioned by the Arab chronicler Edrisi in 1154.
During this escorted tour, you’ll visit the historic Mill, which holds centuries of salt flats-related culture and activity. The tour includes a unique salt-tasting experience.
• After the visit, enjoy lunch at Mamma Caura, a restaurant located in a 1930s barrack once used for salt duty collection, later converted into an accommodation facility in the 1990s. The site became very popular but was completely removed in 2021.
• Following lunch, take a short trip to Marsala to visit Baglio Pellegrino.
Situated within the Stagnone Nature Reserve, this historic estate is surrounded by salt flats and bathed in sunlight. The tufa walls of the estate echo stories passed down through generations: tales of passion, vision, and respect for the land.
Enjoy a guided tour of the ancient 'Baglio', including the production area and aging cellar, where you’ll learn about the history and traditions of Marsala wine production. The experience includes tastings of local wines, paired with carefully selected accompaniments.

Day 8 - Monday, August 11, 2025

• 10:15 AM: Meet your guide, Davide, for a fascinating three-hour walking tour of Palermo.
Explore the city’s hidden gems and learn about its LGBTQ+ history and significant characters who have shaped its culture.
The tour will also take you to the exterior of the Cathedral and Cappella Palatina.
Discover the true soul of Palermo by venturing off the beaten path and into its lively alleyways, interacting with locals, and immersing yourself in the vibrant colors and aromatic scents of its historic markets.
Visit the Ballarò market, winding from Piazza del Carmine, where you can experience the lively atmosphere and taste traditional street food, showcasing the unique flavors and traditions of the city.
Explore the Vucciria market, located in the historic Loggia district. Originally a meat market, it now offers a mix of fish, fruits, vegetables, and local delicacies, reflecting Palermo’s multicultural heritage.
• Lunch: Enjoy a meal based on the typical street food specialties available at these open-air markets.
• After lunch, take a short bus ride to Casteldaccia and visit the Duca di Salparuta Wine Cellars.
