The country is situated on the Iberian Peninsula, with a long, rich coastline that influences much Portuguese culture – there’s so much to explore. With a lively history and culture, Portugal was once a powerful empire spanning the world. And this influential heritage is clear on every corner. Snapshot the incredible medieval architecture, accompany your dinner with a selection of local wines and don’t forget to try the ‘pastel de nata’ (a traditional Portuguese custard tart – trust us, it’s delicious).

Day 1 - Friday, May 26, 2027
You will be transferred by private transfer to our hotel in Porto. This evening we have our Group Welcome Dinner at a local Porto restaurant.

Day 2 - Saturday, May 27, 2027
This morning we have a guided tour of Porto, the UNESCO center, including São Bento Station. In the afternoon we have a visit to a Port wine cellar for a guided tasting. Tonight we will have our group dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 - Sunday, May 28, 2027
Today we have a full day’s excursion as we journey into the Douro Valley with a winery visit, wine tasting, and regional lunch.

Day 4 - Monday, May 29, 2027
After breakfast we depart by private coach to Lisbon.
En route we have entry to the Buddha Eden Gardens - the largest oriental garden in Europe. Once we settle into our hotel we will take our group dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 5 - Tuesday, May 30, 2027
After breakfast we have a private guided tour of Alfama and the historic center. After lunch we have a scenic visit to Belém by traditional tram car, including a visit to Jeronimos Monastery and a stop to taste the original pastel de nata. This evening we take our group dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6 - Wednesday, May 31, 2027
After breakfast we have a full day’s excursion to Sintra (Pena Palace), Cabo da Roca, and Cascais.
This evening we will take our group dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7 - Thursday, June 01, 2027
Free time for independent exploration. In the evening we will take our farewell group dinner at a traditional Fado restaurant, celebrating our group's journey through Portugal.

Day 8 - Friday, June 02, 2027
• Return home.
• Today we say our fond farewells as you’re transferred to Lisbon airport for your return journey home.
